Pour 1 cup of white glue into your mixing bowl.

It should look glossy and smooth. I always get this tiny satisfaction when the glue streams down… little joys, right?

Add ½ cup shaving cream.

This gives softness and that whipped texture.

Mix until it looks like fluffy frosting.

Add 2 tbsp baby lotion.

This is the secret ingredient that gives the slime a creamy, “butter-like” movement.

It also keeps the slime stretchy.

Add 2–3 tbsp cornstarch, but not all at once.

Stir gently.

It thickens the mixture and gives that buttery, soft, moldable texture.

You’ll notice the mixture becoming heavier — that’s good.

A tiny drop of yellow food coloring gives the “vanilla cream” vibe.

Then, 1 tsp vanilla fragrance oil.

This part always makes the whole room smell like a bakery.

Choose your activator method:

Borax water → strongest

Contact solution + baking soda → easiest

Liquid starch → fastest

Mix a small amount first.

Remember: Activators are powerful. Too much ruins the slime.

Add 1 tsp at a time and stir.

The slime will pull away from the bowl, slowly forming stretchy strands.

This is the fun part — it looks messy but then suddenly becomes slime.

Once the mixture is not sticky to the spoon, take it out.

Put a little lotion on your hands and knead for 2–3 minutes.

If it sticks → add a tiny amount of activator.

If it feels rubbery → add lotion.

If too soft → add a pinch more cornstarch.

There is no “perfect order.” Slime is forgiving.

Take a handful of soft clay and fold it into the slime.

Knead slowly…

Then knead again.

This step transforms the slime completely → from stretchy to buttery-soft.

You’ll feel the difference instantly.

Put the finished slime into an airtight container for 20–30 minutes.

It settles, becomes smoother, and gains that creamy, silky pull.

Your vanilla cream butter slime is done.
