Method
Step 1: Brew Your Coffee
- Make:
- espresso, OR
- strong coffee
- You want it bold because tahini has a strong flavor too.
Step 2: Warm the Milk
- In a small saucepan:
- warm 1 cup milk on low heat
- Don’t boil it. Just warm until steamy.
- Microwave method:
- 60–90 seconds (depends on microwave)
- stop when hot but not bubbling
Step 3: Mix Tahini + Sweetener (The Secret Step)
- Here’s the trick:
- Don’t drop tahini directly into hot coffee and hope it behaves. It may clump or split.
- Instead, in your mug:
- add 1 tbsp tahini
- add sweetener
- add tiny pinch of salt
- add 1 tbsp warm milk
- Stir until smooth like a paste.
- This makes blending 10x easier. Trust me.
Step 4: Add Coffee
- Pour the hot coffee/espresso into the mug.
- Stir again. It should look creamy already.
Step 5: Froth Milk + Finish
- Froth the remaining milk:
- frother / blender / French press / whisk
- Pour into a mug.
- Top with:
- cinnamon
- sesame seeds
- drizzle honey (optional but… yum)
- Done.
- Sip slowly. Let your brain adjust to the sesame magic.
