Ingredients

  • cups fresh ripe mango chopped
  • Frozen works too—more on that later
  • ¾ cup coconut milk full fat = creamier, trust me
  • ½ cup coconut water for lightness
  • 1 –2 teaspoons lime juice fresh. Always.
  • 1 –2 teaspoons honey or sugar syrup optional—taste first
  • A pinch of salt
  • Sounds weird but… don’t skip it
  • Ice cubes as needed
  • Optional garnish: mint leaves mango slice, toasted coconut

Equipment

  • A blender
  • Measuring cups
  • A knife
  • Cutting board.
  • Strainer
  • Tall glasses

Method

Step 1: Prep the Mango
  1. Take a ripe mango. Soft, fragrant—the good kind.
  2. Peel it. Slice the flesh away from the seed.
  3. Chop it roughly. Doesn’t need to be pretty. It’s going in the blender anyway.
  4. Pause for a second.
  5. If you sneak a piece… yeah, I do that too.
Step 2: Add Mango to the Blender
  1. Drop the mango pieces straight into the blender jar.
  2. If you’re using frozen mango, let it sit out for 5 minutes first.
  3. Helps the blending. Trust me.
Step 3: Pour in Coconut Milk
  1. Add the coconut milk next.
  2. Full-fat if you have it—it makes the mocktail rich and smooth.
  3. You’ll see the color change already. That creamy yellow? That’s the sign.
Step 4: Add Coconut Water
  1. Now pour in the coconut water.
  2. This lightens everything up.
  3. Without it, the drink can feel heavy. Been there.
Step 5: Lime Juice Goes In
  1. Squeeze in fresh lime juice.
  2. Start with a little. You can always add more later.
  3. This is what keeps the drink from tasting flat.
Step 6: Sweetener (Only If Needed)
  1. Taste the mixture before adding sugar or honey.
  2. If your mango is sweet enough, skip it.
  3. If not, add a teaspoon of honey or sugar syrup.
  4. Small steps. No turning back once it’s too sweet.
Step 7: Add a Tiny Pinch of Salt
  1. Just a pinch.
  2. Not enough to taste—just enough to wake everything up.
  3. Sounds odd… but this step matters more than you think.
Step 8: Add Ice
  1. Add a handful of ice cubes.
  2. Not too many. You want it cold, not watery.
Step 9: Blend It All Together
  1. Put the lid on.
  2. Start blending on low, then increase to high.
  3. Blend for 30–45 seconds until smooth and creamy.
  4. No chunks. No gritty texture.
  5. If it’s too thick, add a splash of coconut water and blend again.
Step 10: Taste and Adjust
  1. This part is important.
  2. Take a sip.
  3. Too thick? Add coconut water.
  4. Too sweet? Add a little lime.
  5. Need something but you can’t tell what? Tiny pinch of salt again.
  6. Blend for a few seconds more.
Step 11: Strain (Optional)
  1. If you like it silky smooth, strain it.
  2. If you like a little texture—skip this.
  3. Both ways are good.
Step 12: Serve Immediately
  1. Pour into tall glasses.
  2. Add mint, mango slice, or toasted coconut if you feel fancy.
  3. Serve right away while it’s cold and fresh.
  4. Take that first sip.
  5. Yeah… that’s it.
