Prep Time 5 minutes
Cook Time 5 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 1 batch
Course: diy craft/kids activity
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • White school glue – 1 cup
  • Shaving foam – around 1 cup
  • Instant snow powder – ½–1 cup or cornstarch as backup
  • Activator – contact lens solution or borax water
  • Water – a splash
  • Food color – optional
  • Scent – optional vanilla, lavender, strawberry… whatever feels you

Equipment

  • A mixing bowl
  • A spoon or spatula
  • A flat counter or tray
  • Measuring cups
  • An airtight container
  • Optional: gloves (if glue bothers your skin)

Method

Step 1: Add the Glue
  1. Pour 1 cup of school glue into your bowl.
  2. I always enjoy this part… that slow “glug-glug” sound is funny for no reason.
Step 2: Add Shaving Foam
  1. Now add 1 cup of shaving foam.
  2. Don’t mix aggressively.
  3. Gentle folds help keep the fluff.
Step 3: Add Water
  1. Just a splash… maybe a tablespoon.
  2. This keeps the slime smooth instead of rubbery.
Step 4: Add Color (If You Want)
  1. A drop or two of food color.
  2. Mix lightly.
  3. Go pastel, bold, neon — whatever mood you’re in.
Step 5: Activate the Slime
  1. Add 1 teaspoon of activator first.
  2. Mix.
  3. Add a little more.
  4. Mix.
  5. Cloud slime needs patience.
  6. Don’t dump a lot — or you’ll get hard slime.
  7. You’ll know it’s ready when it starts pulling away from the bowl.
Step 6: Knead
  1. Pick it up and knead.
  2. It’ll feel sticky at the start.
  3. Keep going — trust me.
  4. It’ll turn smooth.
Step 7: Add Instant Snow
  1. Prepare the instant snow (add water as per packet instructions).
  2. When it fluffs up, add it slowly to your slime.
  3. Knead… knead… knead…
  4. You’ll see it become soft, airy, and cloud-like.
  5. And boom — you’re done.
  6. That’s your homemade cloud slime.
