Ingredients
  

  • ½ ripe banana mashed
  • 1 cup milk or plant milk
  • 1 espresso shot or strong coffee
  • 1 –2 tsp honey brown sugar, or maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp cinnamon
  • a tiny pinch of nutmeg
  • a small pinch of salt
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Equipment

  • Small saucepan
  • Whisk or spoon
  • coffee maker / moka pot / instant coffee
  • one favorite mug
  • strainer (only when I want it smooth)

Method
 

How I Make Banana Bread Latte
    Step 1 — Mash & Mix
    1. I mash half a banana until soft, then mix in:
    2. cinnamon
    3. nutmeg
    4. vanilla
    5. sweetener
    6. tiny pinch of salt
    7. The smell already feels warm at this point.
    Step 2 — Warm the Milk Slowly
    1. I add the banana mix into milk and heat it gently.
    2. Low flame. No rushing.
    3. Just warm enough for the aroma to open up — not boiling.
    4. It reminds me of waiting near the oven as a kid.
    Step 3 — Brew Coffee
    1. Any strong coffee works:
    2. espresso
    3. moka pot
    4. or instant — just slightly concentrated
    5. I pour it into my mug.
    Step 4 — Combine
    1. Sometimes I strain the banana milk.
    2. Sometimes I don’t.
    3. Depends on my mood.
    4. I pour it into the coffee… give it a soft stir… and sip slowly.
